Warna-warni kehidupan indah bak minyak tuti – Ramblings of a Mom

Last week, Miki told me that a kid in school has threatened him. The boy has been taking snacks from his lunch box and told him if he didn’t bring chocolates for him the next day, he was going to kick my son.
I didn’t care about the chocolate and I know Miki is not stingy, he always shares his food with his friends. I fact, he would be very happy to empty my entire fridge and pantry to sedekah and kenduri with his friends at school and at his babysitter’s place.

In one occasion he said “Mummy, you have to also buy these doughnuts for J.” J is a kid who stays at Mama Rose’s with him after school. I told him “BAPAK J BAWAK BMW KOT! SURUH DIA PI BELI SENDIRI!”
Miki didn’t understand what a car got to do with doughnuts. I didn’t bother explaining.

Keji mom me… Bukan apa takut Miki pergi cakap …”Mummy Miki kata Uncle bawak BWM so pergilah beli doughnut kat J sendiri…”
Tak ke mampus aku??

Anyway, what I was afraid of in the incident with the snacks snatcher, is Miki’s own reaction. If the boy really hits him, Miki will definitely hit back. What is they will ended up in a fight? What if my son gives him a black eye? What if the boy gives my son a black eye?
So I texted their teacher and asked her to watch these two boys.

On Monday I went to see the teacher and follow up. Alhamdulillah Miki didn’t get in to any fight and they were all behaving very nicely. I was so relieved.

Since Miki started schooling I almost had a heart attack many-many times. Van lambat hantar Miki balik – aku heart attack. Miki gaduh kat sekolah – aku rasa nak pitam. Miki dia kata dia girlfriend- aku double pitam… haishhhh…

That Monday morning, while talking to his teacher, I saw a girl walking into school. It is October. They have been going to school for 10 months. The girl’s uniform is spotless clean. Her school bag looks perfectly new. Miki came back home on first day of school with his pants stained black macam minyak tuti motor ke apa tah la… His school bag dah lama BARAI! 4 bijik keychain I put on the zipper to replace the zip yang patah! Macam mana zip besi boleh patah? Keempat-empat keychain tersebut lenyap selepas dua hari. Berbijik-bijik Tupperware cap Tupperware turut lenyap. Last-last aku bagi Tupperware cap aku tapau makanan kat Tokio Café.

Kesimpulannya.. untunglah ibu-ibu dan bapa-bapa kepada little girls… Mesti rambut korang lambat beruban berbanding aku yang semua anak lelaki dengan tahap keaktifan hebat. Kesimpulan kedua, Alhamdulillah aku ada anak. Kalau tak mesti hidup aku kurang berwarna-warni minyak tuti. Alhamdulillah.
