Tragedi Terlajak Mandi

Several of weeks ago, Azman was away on business trip to US for about a fortnight. I was home alone with the two little boys battling a toddler’s daily tantrums and coaching a pre-schooler with his lessons.

On top of that, the water supply was on and off every two days, now don’t get me started on how much I don’t understand water supply problem being living in the tropical rain forest that Malaysia is.

Anyway, one fine day the tap was actually letting out water instead of making fart noises when I turned it on. I was so happy I wanted to cry. My hair was oily and it smelled like Pelita Nasi Kandar. The last time I washed it was the day before with full caution not to finish up  what ever water left we had. I needed a long shower badly and I needed it now!

So I took Rafa upstairs into my room, also dragged Miki along hoping he could keep an eye on his brother. I put The Croods on TV, the kids’ current favorite movie. I let them have snacks on the bed. MY BED. Just to keep them occupied and glued to the TV while I have a nice shower. I closed the bedroom door to keep Rafa in at all times I was in the bathroom. If he got out he might wanna go down the stairs and that’s dangerous.

Snacks, TV, safety cautions plus iPad on the side in case Rafa got bored. All checked!

I can go mandi now yayyyy!!!

And so I showered and I scrubbed and then I came out. To this….

There is this small open area upstairs that we don’t use at all.  I imagine someday when I have the money I will convert it into a walk in wardrobe or something. But in the meantime, I got this clothes hanger arranged neatly against the wall. All the clothes that can’t seem to get a space in the wardrobe are hanged neatly on them, Azman’s shirts on one side and mine on the other.

On that fine day, I also had a huge pile of folded clothes arranged on the couch waiting for me to keep them in the drawers. But I guess Rafa got his hands on them first.

Inilah akibat kalau terlajak mandi lebih dari 3 minit… Huhuhu! I don’t know if I wanted to cry or plot a murder of my husband once he came back. It is all his fault for leaving me with the two little cheeky  monsters that could turn the house upside down within seconds. Since then everytime I walk past this area in my house, I see Rafa in my head, spinning round and round like a tiny little cyclone… leaving the area  like a war torn zone and hemorrhage in my brain… sigh!

Dear Rafa, you are my sweet chocolate lava, my creamy cupcake, my candied apple. You are so yummy cute I chew on your face every night and day. Mummy, Daddy and Abang Miki love you very much but if you continue to be taufan melanda I won’t take you jalan-jalan with us anymore! OK! Muahh!

ps – am writing about our trip to America in this blog soon. stay tune! 🙂
