Hehe call me crazy or whatever guys, but let me show you what I got for Adik Miki. It is the Fisher-Price’s Healthy Care™ Deluxe Booster Seat, yay!

Apparently this is one of the latest product of Fisher Price and just like the others, this booster seat is freaking cute! As a Mom that is a bit obsessed with safety and quality, let me tell you why the Deluxe Booster Seat is a must have.

First of all, we already have a high chair at home that Miki sits on. Although it is not so bulky but I don’t think  I want another of that thing in the house, just where would I keep it? The Deluxe Booster Chair is just awesome because it is not only portable, it can be strapped to most of the dining chairs you can imagine. Senang sangat!

You can just bring it anywhere, friends’ houses, balik kampung, even restaurants knowing that you baby will get to sit comfortably on a clean, stable chair.

You may wonder how can one baby chair fits all but here let me show you. First you place the Booster Seat on any chair, over here it’s my pink IKEA’s at my breakfast nook.

 Then you secure one cute blue strap at the back of the chair:

The tray that you see here is actually adjustable and removable. That means, once lil baby grows out of it, you can just keep it away. So this seat can be used for years! The trays are very easy to clean and for those who has a dishwasher, the trays are even dishwasher-friendly. So easy-peasy for lazy Mommy! haha! Unfortunately I am a typical Malaysian, mana ada dishwasher! :p

If you look closely, the trays are very smooth, there are no crevices to trap crumbs at all. Very good lah the designers, they think of the design sampai cam tu sekali kan?

 The feeding tray, which snaps in place over the main tray, comes together with a snap-on lid; allowing food items to be covered in place when not touched.  Measuring 8.5” x 15” x 12’, with a weight capacity of up to 45 pounds, the booster seat provides great on-the-go portability with its over-the-shoulder straps and compact foldable feature.  With this portable feature, you can easily move from feeding baby in the kitchen to having him join the family at the dining table during mealtime.

Anyway, last week  I got a parcel full of Ocean Potion sunblock goodies. Yeahh.. receiving freebies  can be nice but it’s actually a token I received for joining the Extreme Challenge by Ocean Potion even before the actual winners are announced. All I did was uploading this picture of Miki yang sooo tak senonoh! hahahaha

In April this year, I was invited to join a Facebook video challenge, organised by Mattel Malaysia. We were given 4 Sing-A-Ma-Jigs plush toys FOC and make a movie out of it! Azman and I though hey why not? Since they were offering an Ipad2 for best video and we haven’t bought one yet at that time!

So we spent 15 minutes getting Miki to listen to our instructions and memorize some lines, and then about a couple of hours to edit the recordings out. I later blog about it HERE to entice my blog readers, friends and families to vote for the amateur video. And today I realized, I have never published it in this blog!

You guys just have to see it! Because it has gotten 284 likes at the Sing-A-Ma-Jigs FB page and because of this video WE WON AN IPAD2, 64GB, white! yay!

Although until today I can hardly believe that other Moms actually refer to me (read : Crazy Dee) about baby food recipes and ways to get their kids to eat right, I do think that I have a tip or two to share on baby’s stuff.

As my close friends would now, I have this weakness when it comes to getting things for my son, and boy oh boy, doesn’t Miki has a LOOOOOT of stuff! It is just me that is too lazy to write a review on some of the things that I feel very good and high in quality for the sake of sharing with fellow parents.

One of the stuff that I would like to recommend is Newborn to Toddler Rocker  by Fisher-Price (NBTTR). I find it really useful and how I wish I have gotten this rocker much-much earlier when Miki was a newborn.

This multi-usage baby gear does more than just rock babies to sleep; it also assists with feeding our babies and also allows these lil munchkin to learn-through-play. I remember when Miki was really tiny, I strapped him in his rocker/car seat, it worked fine but the car seat was kinda heavy! NBTTR however, is so light that I can easily move it around the house, kitchen/dining room during meal times, living room during playtime and upstairs when I need to go to the bathroom!

What is it with the Mom going to the bathroom pulak you may wonder… But come on people! MOM AND DADS POOPS TOO!  So when we need to spend a few minutes on the throne or in the shower, how do we ensure our baby is not rolling off the bed, crawling under the table and getting herself hurt?

NBTTR can solve that issue, because it can keep your baby safe and entertained at the same time. This rocker has a safety restrain to keep lil munchkin from falling off, it has no sharp edges and it has Low Profile Frame – this feature allows the rocker to easily be adjusted to a low position so it becomes a comfortable and secure bedding. This will support your baby’s fragile neck as she falls fast asleep. Most importantly, it can support up to 18 kilos of weight!

Recalling my experience, Miki’s rocker/car seat was also pretty much safe (until he was about one year old only, after that he became too strong, bounced and it toppled over) but it didn’t come with any entertainment features.

NBTTR is equipped with a toy bar that don’t only keep you baby busy playing with it while you are busy watching ANTM but it also helps make lil munchkin smarter without you realizing it! How awesome is that?

The toy bar is designed in such a way that it promotes Eye-hand coordination ( gets baby to learn how to use both visual and mental skills that will train her to control her muscles to initiate movements through repetitive play);
Visual Stimulation (eye-catching toys of contrasting colors, patterns, designs, curves and symmetry will help promote your baby’s visual development so they can gain better control of their own movements and slowly learn to interact with their new environment) and Auditory Stimulation ( a sound-rich environment is important to stimulate your baby’s learning and growth)

Although a baby’s hearing is well developed at birth, their sense of hearing is still not as refined as adults but this will continue to develop through their infancy period. They say it is advisable for parents to sing or talk to their children while jingling the musical toys as sets an important foundation for speech and language development.

Other features that I find very cool and I almost never thought of is called Calming Vibrations. When I found out about this, I went wowww….. Coz this rocker actually produces sleep-inducing sounds which will remind your baby of the sounds that they used to hear while they were in the womb! Amazing!

And it rocks of course (nama pun rocker), in gentle rocking motion to further coaxes the fussiest of babies to fall asleep with minimal effort. I have met some parents that will deny altogether that their babies need rocking and can just go to sleep once placed on the bed but come on…. We know sometimes even the easiest baby gets cranky and need extra rocking that maybe can go on for hours! So instead of using the old buai kain with spring that you hang from the ceiling, why not use this rocker? It is so much more stylo, trust me! hehe

Now although Miki is already three years old, 17 kilos and as tall as my waist, he still lepaks on NBTTR that functions as a comfortable and stationary toddler chair. Since we got this rocker, Azman and I have more room on the couch to do other things coz Miki will be chilling there, crossing his legs and laughing to Spongebob and playing on the Ipad at the same time. Isn’t life swell, Miki?

When I was a child, Miki… getting a glimpse of the ikan kaloi in the aquarium at the local clinic was already so fascinating. You however, went to the Underwater World Langkawi when you were 11 months old with short term memory loss. Last Sunday, you went to KLCC Aquaria in KL and at 3 years, toddlers still have short term memory loss.

Oh by the way, I have something cool to share with my readers. You see, when we were at the Aquaria, I found out that Tupperware Brands Malaysia is having its Tupperware One Touch Air Tight Challenge.  Being a Tupperware avid user, I was very surprise to see a Tupperware container placed nicely in one of the huge FISH TANKS!!! Yes it was IN a fish tanks with gallons of water!

KLCC Aquaria disappoints me. I remember Underwater World Langkawi was so much bigger, more fun and
attractive. Sorry Aquaria, you are not in the list of my recommendations.

Do you know the aquatic creatures  that we see in the tanks are actually 30% smaller than their actual size?
That’s an arapaima…

That frog is probably the biggest frog I have ever seen… and when Miki was looking at it, he almost kissed the aquarium glass. Gilerrr… nasib baik aku tak terpengsan.. i hate frogs!! Benci! Benci!! Sangat geli ok!

Somehow I think we have eaten this shellfish before in Restoran Nelayan Bukit Malut in Langkawi a couple of years ago. hehe

Let me tell you Moms and Dads reading a little bit about these lil stuffed toys. In Malaysia currently, only four designs are available and they are Sing-A-Ma-Jigs-Blue, Sing-A-Ma-Jigs-Red, Sing-A-Ma-Jigs-Pink and Sing-A-Ma-Jigs-Yellow. They each sing catchy tunes according to their colors, including ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ for blue; ‘Where Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone’ for red; ‘Skip to My Lou’ for Pink and ‘Home on the Range’ for yellow. These lil fellows are award winning, you know! Don’t play-play!

Miki used to get freaked out at toys that could speak but now I guess he is big enough and boy oh boy, Miki sure adored them although they can be a bit freaky! LOL

Back to the video that we made, although this is the very first video that we have ever done before, it turned out to be so much fun!

The challenge behind it was getting Miki to act of course! This includes memorizing some lines and doing the action. In the earlier part of the video, he was supposed to ask the Sing-A-Ma-Jigs to sing him a song; which he did nicely albeit not perfectly; BUT HE DID IT WHILE MENONGGENG??? Motippp?? Haha.. Gasak ko la Miki.. janji ko cakap… Haha

But actually Miki was so sporting la… Mummy is so proud of you… In fact there is a scene in the video where Miki was supposed to sing Itsy-Bitsy Spider but he took the initiative of taking his toy guitar and played it along the song!

Cheeewahhhh… Acoustic Itsy-Bitsy Spider tuu… Tak tahan la Miki! Miki memang rock lah! Hehe…

Anyway I have found a new skin care that I simply love and I guess I’d like to share it here. It is awesome especially to us Moms with kids that are just as pain-in-the-butt naughty as Miki. You see, Miki likes to copy everything that his Dad and I do. That’s the reason why Daddy hasnt been shaving in front of him for fear he would sneakingly pick up the shavor and use it on himself! Horror!

And although I bought different sun blocks for him and myself, Miki would rather use the one which is more suitable for rough skins like mine and the elephant’s instead of his kids-friendly type of products. Because it is what Mummy and Daddy is using…. boohooo…!

Talk about elephant, here is what we use to yet another trip to the zoo -

Meet my new fave skincare – Gentle and Sensitive SPF 50 by Ocean Potion. I love it because:-

1) It’s Vitamin D fortified and paraben free which makes it very gentle
2) It’s gentle and safe enough for babies and toddlers like Miki
3) I can just let Miki use mine without wasting my super precious ayaq liuq by explaining that you can’t use Mummy’s sunblock IT IS EXPENSIVE NOT SUITABLE FOR YOU!
4) Ocean Potion is affordable, if Miki spill it on the floor while trying to rub it on the refrigerator, I don’t feel so much like stuffing him in the refrigerator.
5) Bottom line is, if it makes my baby happy, I am happy! I think I will stick to this Ocean Potion for awhile. It really suits our outdoor friendly lifestyle.

We went there recently totally without planning (else I would have worn a light T shirt but lucky I got the sun block) while we were on our way to Penang. I must say that we are Malaysian zoo experts now. And the best Zoo so far is

The thing that I like about Zoo Taiping is one – the free train ride although we didnt ride on it all! two – the great natural habitat that zoo adopted for the animals and three – the fact we almost exchange below kangaroo with Miki. See the zoo was totally like a safari, there were animals all over. Nasib baik bukan Rimau Ifa Raziah tu kannn?

It’s built very slim at 17.7mm in depth, in the size of a credit card sized, glossy and sports a slide open and shoot lens cover mechanism that powers up the camera at the same time, thus ensuring that taking a picture is really, really easy and fast. If you are taking pics of a toddler like Miki, you know why I really appreciate this feature.

The best thing about this TX5camera model is the fact that it is Sony’s first ever waterproof model, it is capable of withstanding a dunking to a depth of 10ft, it is dust proof, shock proof (against drops from 1.5 metres) and freeze proof (to minus 10°C) too. I don’t think I ever need to worry about the low temperature but the other toughness features I really love! Even though TX5 has all those capabilities, it is still slim and sexy! It is also very light and I can put it in my jeans pocket. Please bear in mind I wear super skinny jeans only! haha

They are made available in several colors including black, silver, green, red and the day-glo pink. Very lovely!

The TX5′s lens starts out at  25mm, which is quite wide I’d say and runs to 100mm at the telephoto end, that means it is great for shooting from landscapes to group portraits. It also has an impressive-in-action Sweep Panorama function.I like this function a lot, great especially if I wanna take a nice picture for my blog header.

It has this feature called continuous or burst shooting that can  be selected  from ‘Hi’, Mid, or ‘Lo’ speed options. Which means it can capture images continuously like a machine gun.

As you all know, I have been taking underwater pictures for the past several years and all this while I have been using another camera brand. But now I think we need to move on TX5, because in comparison to my old camera. TX5′s LCD screen is sooo much clearer!! Even when you look at it underwater!With our old camera, sometime we simple shoot the pic without knowing what exactly we are capturing because the LCD is so poor! Resulting some of my pics senget-senget and tak cantik!

So for those going on your next snorkeling trip, you just gotta have a TX5!

It is C2 Green Tea in three different flavours – Lemon, Apple and Mix Fruits. I don’t usually let Miki drinks bottled drinks except Vitagen and fruit juices because you know they too much sugar, additives and preservatives. But this one is okay I guess because it’s Green Tea, not sugared water. :p

I kinda dig green tea as well due to the fact that it has anti-oxidants substances that’s supposed to enhance longevity, make you younger and stuff. Since my dependency in toners are quite pathetic, why not once in awhile drink green tea aighht? Hehe..

But the drinks are indeed delicious. I have tried all three flavours they are yummy especially when chilled!

Yummy! Both are delicious! Miki cannot make up my mind…. Apa kata belasah je dua-dua tu sekali….

Miki has this habit of drinking two different drinks at one time since he was wayyy much smaller. When we eat out he likes to dominate all the drinks on the table ie – his kiddy chocolate drink, my fruit juice and Daddy’s Coke all to himself. But since he doesn’t drink soft drinks (pedas katanya), he would ended up with two glasses only dan MEMANG DIA AKAN MINUM IKUT DUA-DUA STRAW SEKALIGUS!!!

Sangat giler kuasa dan sangat lawak circus ok anak Azman ni.. isk isk isk….
Besar sok jangan ko nak kawin dua pulak!! eh tu pesanan kat anak ke kat bapak? ehhh…
