Presentation skills training

I went to a Presentation Skills Training at work last week. At first I thought it was pretty bad. There was two trainers, one lady and a man; and somehow the man stutters a little when he first introduced himself.

I am a very bad student. I think since I was in primary school I tend to think this teacher of mine is nuts! I scrutinize my teacher’s pronunciation and general knowledge. Sometimes I pointed it out to the teacher and sometimes I don’t but either way, I must be such a pain in the ass didn’t I? Back to the presentation skills, luckily I never had any formal training on presentation so even when the trainer tend to say err.. err… sometimes when he speak, the content of his training materials make it up for his weaknesses and overall I think I learnt quite a bit of new things and benefited from the training.

At one point I wonder if I can do a public speaking training online as easy as we do our online computer training. E-learning solution is available in the form of either cd, intranet, or online training video courseware. Taking a self-study CBT training course allows us to work on our own PC or laptop when and where we want. Self-directed computer training video courses are self paced.

Ulat Beluncas azan di atas trolley

Once upon a time there is a cute little caterpillar called Miki Beluncas. He likes to play with his toy truck. Though the truck is supposed to be pushed, Miki Beluncas thinks that it would be more fun if he can ride on it like a scooter.

So he climbed on his truck and tries his best to make it start moving. He shakes his bonbon, he shakes his head, HE SHAKES HIS WHOLE BODY! But the scooter wouldn’t move like he wants it to be!! Miki Beluncas does not give up. He puts one foot out in front to peddle (0:19), but the truck is still steady.

Miki Beluncas is getting a little geram!! He wants to give the truck a kick, so just like Jean-Claude Van Damme, he lashes out one skinny leg (0:29) and yell PAHHHH!!

Owh! But Mummy doesn’t think that kicking is so nice (though very funny), so Mummy asks Miki Beluncas to recite the Azan (0:40). Miki Beluncas put one hand to his ear and start mumbling something that was supposed to be Allahuakbar!

That’s good enough baby Beluncas!! No more helicopter kicks okay? Now, practice your azan everyday!

Learn Body Parts The Miki Way

These photos were taken when my son was 12 months old, the same time when this video was captured. I am blogging about it now as a tribute to our sengal genius little chap because he has created a MIRACLE in the Diyanazman household, yesterday 21 March 2009.

Miki fell asleep at 9pm and did not wake up until 8 in the next morning! That only happens before in my sweetest dreams. I celebrated the historical phenomenon by doing what other parents do when their kids have gone to bed – Read a book. I can be quite pathetic.

By the time Miki was 12 months, he has known a lot of his body parts like in the photos below and several others. He knows his *****, his eyes, hair, his hands and his feet. He also knows a woman’s bosom thanks to Bani.

He doesn’t know what is tulang rusuk yang macam mata piano though… The last photo was coincidental. Hehe!

Mummy and Daddy is very proud of you Miki! Keep up the good work! Go to sleep earlier every night, okay?! Muah!
