Something about Mazda

When I am still at primary school, my father owned a Mazda 1300. It was a really cool car and since that, Mazda’s car has always been one of my favorite cars.
Old pictures always make me wonder where the car now?? Is it still roaming the road?? Or… maybe already been melted into something else. Haha!

Current Mazda cars were totally different. No matter what model of new or used Mazda, all of them were awesome and meets your need. If you want an excellent value in a luxury sedan, Mazda 3 will give you uncompromising comfort along with the power and responsiveness you’d expect from the world-famous, high-end models.

However, if you need a roomy but more compact vehicle for work or play, Mazda 9 may be just what you’re looking for. The Mazda 9 is a luxury crossover SUV aimed at family-oriented buyers looking for an upscale, convenience-laden vehicle that’s fun to drive. With a superb safety rating, the Mazda 9 should be one of the best luxury utility vehicles.

Then, the best of all is Mazda RX-8. The Mazda RX-8 is without doubt one of the most popular sports cars with thrilling performance.

Fuel economy GM

The success of Asia carmaker to break into US market really makes the US company likes GM suffered.

So, in the era of expensive fuel, GM has no choice but to produce more fuel economy models for their truck to compete with Asian carmakers such as Honda and Toyota. That is why for the 2009 model; new fuel economy models for four of its biggest, thirstiest trucks, the Chevrolet Silverado and gmc Sierra pickups and the Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon SUVs will be release.

Grouped under the moniker XFE, which Chevrolet has already used on a high-mpg version of the Cobalt small car, the trucks will return 15 mpg in the city and 21 on the highway. That fuel consumption will represents a single mile-per-gallon improvement for both city and highway, compared to non-XFE versions with the same 5.3-liter V8 engine.

Unlike the two-mode hybrid versions of the company’s big trucks, the XFE models use totally conventional means to achieve their improvements. All XFEs will use six-speed transmissions and a 3.08 axle ratio, and for the Chevy Silverado and Sierra XFEs get aluminum lower control arms for the front suspension, and an aluminum spare wheel and aluminum 17-inch wheels wearing low-rolling-resistance tires with higher recommended tire pressure to reduce dragging force that could increase the fuel consumption.

Furthermore, to improve aerodynamics, the pickups’ suspension has been lowered and the XFEs carry deeper front air dams and soft tonneau covers.

Open Letter for My Son – Happy Eight Months Birthday Luth Mikael

Dear Miki,

I am writing this on 17th September 2008 and coincidently it is 17 Ramadan 1429 in the Islamic calendar. And on this blessed month of Ramadan, you turn 8 months old. I want you to know that I am very-very proud of you. You have reached so many milestones and you are charming but most of all, I am so thankful to Allah the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious, the Most Beneficent… for your excellent health. All praise for the Al-Mighty.

Son,
I am feeling the sorrow of a friend of mine with a baby who is ailing. With all my heart I pray for her son’s health and speedy recovery. And to be blessed with a child like you, Luth Mikael, once again I praise God, Alhamdulillah for my healthy baby.

Throughout your 8 months of life you only got two illnesses. Thank God for nothing serious. When you were about 3 days old you were yellowish and diagnosed with jaundice. It broke my heart to a thousand pieces when you were admitted to Hospital Pantai Mutiara, Penang. I brokedown like crazy even though I knew you will only be away for one night. The next morning when you were discharged, I was so relieved that you would soon be better, that I forgot to curse the obnoxious Dr Chan for admitting you unnecessarily. Though it tormented me a great deal but I realized that jaundice is absolutely common and curable, it is almost harmless.

The next hiccup would be eczema, which you have on your cheeks. There were times when it got bad and very red and there were times when your face is very clear. Like other mothers, I got so distressed with the itchy inflammation on your face that I was often in tears and sometimes it even haunts me in my dreams. I felt so sorry for you, I was almost depressed!

Miki,
In this sacred month of Ramadan I want to embrace the moments of serenity and closeness to God. I want to start thinking positive and be thankful for the beautiful child that you are, blessed with great health. For goodness sake I got to stop wailing when looking at you rubbing your cheeks – You only have itchy skin, not skin cancer! Mummy needs to get a grip! Luckily now the eczema has totally cured and you look cuter than ever. Looking back, what was I thinking risking gila meroyan over reddish baby cheeks? Gosh, I reacted like you’ve got a virus or something! But then again maybe I was gila meroyan!

Miki,
Mummy is very thankful that you have never gotten colic or kembung perut – not once in your entire life! I am thankful that you never got stomach ache – not once! I am so pleased that you don’t have a speck of rash on your bum or anywhere else– never! I am happy that you never got constipation – at all! I am so thankful that most of typical baby health problems never got to you. Thank God.

You had running nose a few times only by mixing with other sick kids at the babysitter’s. You were coughing too once or twice but only when it got too cold. You had low grade fever a couple of time, once when you were a few weeks old- for over swaddling and another after your 5th month immunization injection, but the highest temperature was only 37.4 degree Celsius. Which was almost not a fever at all. I am very thankful for all that. I am a very lucky mother.

Miki, with good health that God has bestowed upon our family, let’s all remember Him more. Let’s be nice to all mankind and lets pray for all our sins to be forgiven. I hope you will grow up to be a good person, a obedient servant to Him and a compassionate friend to other people. But no, you still cannot date girls from THAT state in Malaysia and THAT part of Selangor. Someday when you have you own blog, try not to diss other bloggers. People can always say that we are boring but they can never-never say that we are cocky!

Happy 8th month birthday, Miki!

Love,
Mummy
