Siri Bercakap Dengan Miki – Ubat Gegat and Spongebob

I was trying to exercise Miki’s hand and ready him for drawing or writing. With crayons I made him draw small green and purple circles to make picture of grapes.

Miki did it with much reluctance. But then Daddy came along and all of a sudden Miki got a sudden urge to show off.

All of a sudden my baby Miki can draw Spongebob! *pengsan*

Last weekend while marketing at Tesco I picked up a bag of moth balls. Hasn’t seen any in his life Miki asked what it was. Annoyed with his non-stop questions I answered without thinking; “Ubat lipas!” I said instead of ubat gegat.

“Ooo… Kesian lipas tu Mummy, dia batuk! Kena makan ubat….” Miki commented full of sympathy for the roaches.

Mummy pun bersimpati dengan diri sendiri sebab tak tahan lawak ko camni Miki!

Sabar jelah!

KLCC Aquaria and Tupperware Air Tight One Touch Challenge

I hope someday when Miki is older and wiser, he will go through the contents of this blog and be reminded of how lucky he is. Although he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth but at least he is a hundred times more privileged than his parents was when they were his age.

When I was a child, Miki… getting a glimpse of the ikan kaloi in the aquarium at the local clinic was already so fascinating. You however, went to the Underwater World Langkawi when you were 11 months old with short term memory loss. Last Sunday, you went to KLCC Aquaria in KL and at 3 years, toddlers still have short term memory loss.

Oh by the way, I have something cool to share with my readers. You see, when we were at the Aquaria, I found out that Tupperware Brands Malaysia is having its Tupperware One Touch Air Tight Challenge.  Being a Tupperware avid user, I was very surprise to see a Tupperware container placed nicely in one of the huge FISH TANKS!!! Yes it was IN a fish tanks with gallons of water!

And when I peered closely I saw a Samsung Galaxy Tab in it! I thought this people were really crazy lah… Too much money I think… ada Galaxy Tab pergi taruk dalam aquarium pulak! LOL

But it actually proves how airtight the container can be! Amazing isn’t it? It is so airtight you can keep your favorite food and snacks in there like keropok and cookies and they could last for months!

I decided to join the Tupperware One Touch Air Tight Challenge, so dialed the Tab’s number which is 012 783 0790.. and it rang guys! The cool gadget really worked despite being placed underwater thanks to the Tupperware container of course!

Ring! Ring!

Anyway, Tupperware is giving away amazing prizes in conjunction with the challenge, for every 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th, etc, sms received by the said Tab will be entitled to a Tupperware Hamper worth RM 50 and also be in running to win one of three Samsung Galaxy Tabs.

Hey I love simple contest! Remember those days when we need to purchase like a hundred ringgit worth of whatever product in order to participate in a contest that promises gifts so lame, they don’t worth the hundred ringgit joining fee?!

Now this challenge is freaking free except for the telco charges that apply when you’re sending an sms. Unfortunately for me I had to pay the Aquaria tickets to find out about the challenge but for you all it’s just 20cents la! The organizers do not know if you are sending the text from Aquaria or in front of your notebook reading my blog kan???

Haha! So cheat all you want guys and send your sms now!

Who knows you can be the lucky one winning the Galaxy Tab!? Here’s how you do it:-

Type <TupperwareAirtight> space <YourName> and send to 012 783 0790.

Okay, I have just slimmed down the chances of myself winning the challenge but what the heck, sharing is caring eh? Korang kalau menang the Tupperware hampers worth from hundreds to thousands bagi aku sikit ok? LOL..

One more important fact – the challenge ends on 31st May. So you have only a few days left to send your sms, so don’t delay send now!
You can get more info, check out great offers at Tupperware FB page. Just click LIKE, okay?

Aquaria diver and Mr Green Turtle

Although we enjoyed ourselves especially Miki who was running back and forth in the underwater tunnel,
KLCC Aquaria disappoints me. I remember Underwater World Langkawi was so much bigger, more fun and
attractive. Sorry Aquaria, you are not in the list of my recommendations.

Mr Green Turtle and myself

Albino frogs – so geli-fying!

Do you know the aquatic creatures  that we see in the tanks are actually 30% smaller than their actual size?
That’s an arapaima…

That frog is probably the biggest frog I have ever seen… and when Miki was looking at it, he almost kissed the aquarium glass. Gilerrr… nasib baik aku tak terpengsan.. i hate frogs!! Benci! Benci!! Sangat geli ok!

Somehow I think we have eaten this shellfish before in Restoran Nelayan Bukit Malut in Langkawi a couple of years ago. hehe

Miki sampai ternganga!

Look at the size of that shark and check out its teeth… Scaryyyy!!

Stingray and me… Gigi aku dengan gigi shark tadi macam sama je kan..?

Holiday Villa Cherating 21st Annual Sand Sculpture Competition

I wrote a short entry here last week about our short break in Cherating. Actually we went to enter the Holiday Villa Cherating 21st Annual Sand Sculpture Competition, thanks to Holiday Villa and also Advertlets.

We arrived at the beautiful place late Saturday afternoon, enjoyed the swimming pool, ate a hearty bbq buffet dinner and in the morning, the white sandy beach turned into this

The stretch was divided into lots and we got lot no 5.

I was so freaking ready people! Although we had no experience what so ever with sand sculpting, I came a lil bit prepared with a small bucket and a gardening scoop. But darn it, that was  not enough… Other groups had shovel, watering can, water spray etc…

As the theme of the competition was Animal World, we decided to sculpture a tarantula, inspired by Miki’s creepy tarantula toy. There were 4 people in my group, Rebecca, Jason, Azman and I.

Gigih uols! Perhatikan mulut Azman moncong2 buat kaki tarantula… Muka aku lagi dasyat siot bila concentrate, nasib baik aku pakai cap korang tak nampak.. hah

All of us worked really hard, for those who would like to try this activity, let me warn you it could be very tiring! It takes a lot of energy digging for wet sand, carrying water to the lot (actually there was not need to do this if we dug deep enough to use all wet sand) and of course the sculpting itself. And in case you have forgotten, all of these were done under the bright Malaysian sun!

But for Azman and I, you know we love these kind of outdoor activities. Even when I knew that my skin would later turn charcoal black for the next 4 months, I freaking enjoyed myself that day!

Miki’s tarantula, our inspiration and a bee that Azman made to be it’s lunch…  hehe

We were given 3 hours to complete the sculpture (8.30-11.30am) but if I remember correctly we were done by 10ish. Not that our sculpture was super perfect already but it was due to the pancit factor! TAK LARAT DAHHH!!! So off we went for a swim in the pool.

Above is our beloved TARANTULA… Walaupun ko hodoh cam labah-labah tak cukup sifat but you will always be in my heart, o tarantula.. you are my first sand sculpture and I am so proud of you! haha

Help! A giant tarantula is trying to eat me!!

Although we had a blast of good time… We didn’t win…

And although we didn’t win.. we were extremely redha! hehehe Because this the winning sand sculpture:-

It’s freaking amazing people!! It was a lion in front….

A dolphin and a snake at the back!!! It was really neat and these sure got skills!! Hebat! Check out the other sculptures.. Enjoy!

I have dozens of other pics to upload but I guess I’ll do it later. I just have to say that Insya Allah, I would like to join this competition again next year! Who’s with me?
