The Baby Bunny Rabbits

Oh gosh! I have been so busy. At home there is still so much unpacking and cleaning too do! Miki is not helping at all,  he made a mess out of the living room with all his toys on the floor and the moment I finished clearing that out I would find his room with triple that messiness.

Anyway we finally touched our bunny babies. We didn’t just touched them, we picit-picit them, put them in coffee mugs and of course take their picture.

Picture taking has become a must these days, just yesterday morning Miki and Azman went to check out the babies and saw them cuddled together for warmth on the grass. The little boy’s reaction upon seeing that scene is order his Dad to take some photos!

“Daddy, tangkap gambar Daddy!” he ordered sternly, Azman slapped his forehead and the next ten time Miki pooped I had to take care of the stinky mess BECAUSE THE BOY TALKS LIKE YOU, DIYANA! HE IS YOUR SON SO YOU WASH HIS POOP. Aci gitu??

Miki and Junior

Sama kan muka?? kekekekeee

These pictures were taken when the babies were 12 days old. They are about the size of my palm, super cuddly and cute. This little munchkin I called Junior because he looks almost exactly like Kokades, his Dad.

He has  a white line from his nose up to his forehead.  Silky white whiskers and eyes black as night.

Below is the cutest of all three. He is yet to be named but I got the feeling he will be called Si Kontot or something because of his super comelest hidung kaler putih setompokkk gittewwww… Awwww…

The last baby bunny is probably the most special one! He is the darkest shade dark! Very-very black from his nozzle to his head to his back. He has a streak of white on his forehead and a white tummy but seriously, from now on I am gonna be extra careful when walking in my garden at night. Coz he is so dark I might not see and step into him!

Isn’t he so precious?!

When we asked Miki what to name this little black on.. He said something like Tok Ki or Pok Ki… Tataulah Ayah Ki sapa yang hitam sangat sampai mengingatkan Miki kepada arnab itam ni.. hahah! So I guess we are gonna call it Darkie instead.

I was thinking about giving them away for adoption but Azman insist to care for all 5 of our rabbits now. Yeah I guess I couldnt give them away too… They are too cute!

MinMin and the Furballs

Our rabbit, MinMin is a tiny bit on the psycho side. On Monday, Azman built a small enclosure at back corner of our garden for her and her bunny hubby Kokades. Once both of them were relocated from their cage to an open space with fresh earth and green-green grass, she had automatically switched from her quiet demure self to a hyper super busy bunny!

From the moment she felt grass on her paws, she started digging a hole in the corner and collecting grass in a such an urgent manner. This is a video of her collecting grass (that we help to pluck off the ground) and building her nest.. When we saw this, we guessed MinMin had been feeling euphoric of being able to golek-golek on the ground again. Kesian MinMin… peghak buiiihhh jarang dapat lompat atas tanah…

Anyway on Tuesday June 22, I went back home a little early from work. Once I got home, I went straight to check on Kokades and MinMin’s lil territory in the garden. I saw her nest has been built bigger with drying grass and FUR! Like wth?? Kokades was lying there chilling out near a bed of MinMin’s furball.

I was out there to blame him you see… I thought Kokades has bitten MinMin all over her body and shed her fur. Our rabbits has always have cases of schizophrenia and topical madness. I guessed this is what staying in cages do to you! Or working at M****!! Craziness!!

When Azman came back later that evening, he came barging for me in the kitchen and shouting “MinMin dan beranak!!! MinMin dah beranak!!”

I was like dudeeee…. Bila masa dia mengandung??? Ada ko nampak dia muntah-muntah? Makan asam? Minum kacang soya?? Eh itu aku masa pregnant dulu! Eheh…

“The furballs, they move!!!! There are babies in there!!!” he said with joy flashing in his eyes and rays of happiness vaporizing from his hair roots. I didn’t quite believe him at that time, else I would asked him to get a Wuduk and azan je terus kat telinga arnab tu! Boleyy?

Rabbit’s nest – Something under there moved!!

I mean, seriously! How do know it wasn’t a snake that was twitching under that fluffy fur bed? Or a mentadak-mentadu? Or some worms from the beneath the soil? Or who knows it could have been oil!!!!!! MinMin dug a hole and found a new petroleum reserve in our garden!!! We are going to be richhhhhhhh!!!!

Anyway, ehem… they were really bunny babies.

There are three of them!!! Yayyyyy!!! Azman and I are officially proud GRANDPARENTS! Yippieeee!! But wait a minute!! Two babies  look like their Mom but one is totally velvety black! MinMinnnnnn… You husband is spotted white and brown, woman!!! You have got some ssssplaining to do!!!  Have you been seeing Pakcik Ketayap’s black witchery cat???? Huh? Huh? Huh?

Anyway these babies are really gross cute! They are fat… and wriggly and haven’t opened their eyes yet! From Uncle G, we found out that rabbit infants can only be touched after 7 days! I can’t wait till I can play with them then. These young one are great because they hop slowly unlike their parents – once terlepas kandang memang tak boleh kejar lagi!!!

I hope they are gonna grow strong and cuddly cute really soon. Kalau ada sekor hilang aku tau la ko yang amik buat bbq Nize!!! Awass!!!
