Baby Soccer Genius

On Wednesday I became a personal shopper to my sister, Dahlia. She stays in Perak and was butt lazy to come over to Kl to purchase chairs and table for her kids from IKEA. So we went and get the stuff, one car full of them and couldn’t get our eyes of the EKORRE Toddler Truck because it was just too cute! I managed to persuade Miki’s beloved handsome Daddy (selepas pow duit harus puji lebih sikit..) to buy it and thank goodness our kid is mad about playing with the truck.

First he was pushing it all over the house ( with his stuffed cat and monkey, ball and rubber duckie cramped in it) then he got ON the truck and try to push it at the same time. He fell off rolling from the truck a few times but still loving it nonetheless.

Last night we took him to get his chicken pox jab at Azzahrah Hospital, Bangi ( Miki’s paed is Dr. Nazim, a very nice knowledgeable doctor) and then detoured to Putrajaya to take him to play at Dataran Masjid Putrajaya. Here is Miki pushing his baby truck while waving around his fave toy at the moment – balloons! He calls both balloon and balls; bah.

After sometime Miki stopped. We thought he got tired already or perhaps got bored. But instead Miki did something that surprised the both of us! I almost cannot believe it. You see, Miki has just learned how to walk and every time he does, he is still unstable and can fall down with a single candle-on-birthday-cake blow.

But last night, all of a sudden he put down his balloon (that he calls ball) and kicked it! And he kept on kicking it! Again and again! He kicked and he chased the “ball” and kicked it again! HE WAS PLAYING SOCCER!!! I cannot believe it!

Then Azman joined in, so the father and son, two most precious men in my life started to pass the ball to each other. It was a sight that I will never forget, my baby and his dad playing sports together. Oh, I am so much in love!

Luth Mikael Azman, 13 months old

We played and played until it was late. Miki’s shirt was soaked with sweat already, but still he was so excited. We had to carried him back to the car, because he struggled and screamed and tossed his body around, HE DIDN’T WANNA GO HOME! MIKI WANTS TO KICK THE BALL ALL NIGHT!

Boy oh boy! our little Miki… you are growing up way too quickly. Be good, my son and always be happy… Mummy will be there for you whenever you need me.

Love, Mummy!
