Last Friday when sending Miki to the babysitter’s, she told me that one of the boys there had eye infection. The mother of the child (MoC) could not take leave and had no choice but to send him to the babysitter. I think even the world’s biggest idiot would know that eye diseases are highly infectious and patients must be quarantined to avoid spreading. Apparently that poor little boy has contracted the disease on Thursday and yet his mother still pushed him to the babysitter on Friday.
That MoC must be the biggest idiot not only on planet earth but the entire galaxy. The next time I see her I am gonna get my hands on her face and rip it open. I bet inside she is Dato’ Sri Najib or Obama in disguise as a softspoken Malay mother BECAUSE UNLESS SHE IS A BUSY-AS-A-MAD-BEE PRIME MINISTER OR A PRESIDENT HOW CAN SHE NOT GET A LEAVE TO TREAT THAT FREAKING EYE DISEASE?????
I took a half day off that day to get Miki away from that place and coincidently at the same time Miki had an audition for Abbot ad in Damansara. I will write about the audition later but on the way back Miki’s left eye has begun to produce white discharge.
I was very disappointed and gave the babysitter a call. She was very sorry that Miki was infected but there was really nothing that she could do. Though she could have been more firm but I totally understand her. She is a very nice, caring and understanding lady and she could not turn MoC down.
Kesian lor orang tak boleh cuti. Orang kerja la katakan, macam lah orang lain tak kerja kannnn?????? Eeeiii.. geramnya akuuuu…
Anyway, we rushed Miki to the doctor late that Friday afternoon, but look at his condition on Saturday.
My poor baby was still smiling wide in this picture despite his eye being swollen and red. Luckily it was not irritating, watery or producing any discharge but still I was really mad with the fact that this could have been avoided if MoC had been more CIVILIZED!!! Please laa… I am writing this as a reminder to all parents including myself. What do you feel when other kids has gotten sickness from your baby just because you wouldn’t take a day or two off? That is an act of selfishness, inconsiderate and pure stupidity.
This morning the babysitter informed me that not only Miki but ALL the children there including her own kids has gotten the sickness. I think we all should send the medical bills to MoC. That would be fair isn’t it? You share your germs, we share our med expenses, no?
PS- This is the same mom that sent her baby who was vomiting every 20 minutes and infected Miki with diarrhea before he was even one. When Miki had Rotavirus, I didn’t take him to the babysitter for 9 whole days for fear he will get others sick too… I think I am gonna give her a piece of my mind the next time I see her. Today, Miki’s condition has improved, eyes no more swollen just a little reddish.

utk seratus kalinya aku nak bgtau, kalau tanpa gambar mmg aku rasa mcm simpati kat miki, tapi bila tengok gambar miki tersenyum riang sambil pose manjer ngeh ngeh ngeh, dia seperti suke berkeadaan begini. mungkin miki rasa dirinya sudah menjadi badut tegar. tak ade tanda stress langsung. yg stress adalah ibunyer kerana tidak dapat keluar rumah utk membawa miki berjalan jalan sebagai mengcover alasan dirinya utk keluar berjalan jalan bersuka ria.
and as for the audition punya citer, setelah posting rasminya keluar, akan diriku menambah serba sedikit butiran lanjut. mmg wujud sifat ‘diva/divo’ dlm diri miki ngeh ngeh ngeh.

i reaaaallly reeaaallly hope u will give a piece (or better yet, many pieces) of your mind to that woman yang sampai hati tergamak campak anak kat babysitter’s when the child is obviously sick.
kalo dah malas jaga anak tuh cakap jerlah…tak logic la bila kata takleh take a day off or two for your sick child. that is just plain rubbish.

thanks guys, Miki is fine already. but i still feel MoC’s act is very irresponsible towards the society. Orang camni kalau ada H1N1 pun selamber je jalan kat pasar malam batuk2 tak pakai mask aku rasa. i hope this wont happen again. thanks for your comments …:)

susah kan nak buh eye drops kat mata baby? my son kena conjunctivitis gak aritu (check out my fp for story & pix)..ya allah! susahnye nak buh ubat mata..berperang wrestling sakan everytime it is ubat time. I had to cuti 1 whole week to care for him and 1 more week my mom tolong tgk kan..total 2 weeks dia tak pi nursery..I tak sanggup tgk other kids kena sakit mata camtu and tak sanggup gak kena sumpah seranah dgn other mommies…*wink*.

when we sent adam to nursery dulu ada this one girl gigit tangan my son.. mak dia tunggu i punya lama nak say sorry.. padahal it’s not her fault pun.. the daycare centre la salah x jaga betul2 but she felt guilty instead.. ni baru org berbudi bahasa..

yes, i pun faham perasaan you coz i pun kena gak. one day lepas amik adam from nursery, mata dia macam merah sikit and d caretaker cakap ade this one boy yg sakit mata tapi mak dia still hantar gak. sebab mak dia kata “TAK APE, SAKIT MATA SIKIT SAJA. X JANGKIT PUN”. WHAT?! i think all parents marah gila kat MOC tu.
adam took 2 weeks to fully recover, so dah rugi duit nursery plus medical bills lagi. then hubby plak kene. then i plak kene. i took TWO freaking weeks to recover coz time tu pregnant and dapat ubat yg low dose= sakit mata berpanjangan. so patut tak i claim our medical bills and loss nursery fee kat MOC tuh? geram tak terkira.
tapi part yg paling bengang, tak lama lepas tu, the same kid demam and the mother did the same thing! still tinggalkan kat nursery gak. argh.. *frust cabut rambut* akhirnya, i pull out from that nursery and amik maid.
