Get ready ladies and gentlemen, be prepared as I am about to tell you what I have been secretly doing all these while….
I HAVE BEEN PACKING MY OWN LUNCH TO WORK!
Oh thank you! Thank you! Please sit down! There is no need for the standing ovation. I am just a typical career woman, loves bags, loves gossips, cooks every once in a while. What separate me from the rest is the fact that from the every once in a while that I cook, only once in a while the food is edible!
So when I have been packing my own lunch to work for a few days straight and I didn’t die of food poisoning, I figured it’s an achievement worth blogging about!
Here’s what I had last Friday:-
Chunky mushroom pasta sauce with pasta. I keep them separately in two of my Chrystalwave Soup Mug from Tupperware. The name is soup mug but do I look like I follow instructions? This thing is versatile. It is as good as housing a bowl of steaming hot soup to my favorite linguine to Miki’s porridge.
I love this mug thingy because seriously people, when it comes to microwave, I am a Picasso!
It is just my cooking or really some food just explode in the microwave when heated? Mine tend to create this artistic greasy mosaic all over the surface. I swear one time I saw Australasia map and other time it’s Christiano Ronaldo’s hunky silhouette!!!! FROM THE HOT GIORGIO ARMANI AD!!! **pengsan**
Anyway, these Tupperware containers that I used are really awesome because all I need to do is open the cute little cap on top of the lid prior to reheating in the microwave and save me all the trouble of cleaning the oven again and again. Not that I have to do that ( Kak N, our tea lady at the office does all the cleaning) but too much underware ad is still not healthy, ya’know!
This is what I had yesterday. Semangat uols!! Bangun pagi-pagi isnin masak sambal tumis udang and black pepper beef with lotsa onions complete with fragrant white rice and I even tapau-ed some of Miki’s Teddy Bear Chocolate Chip Cookies for my 3 oclock snacks.
For my 4 oclock and 5 oclock snacks, I usually take whatever I can find in the drawer. Not my drawer, my colleague’s drawer. Sometimes Farah Lee’s, sometimes Ani Sue’s. I take when they are not looking. Oh don’t worry they are all halal food!
Anyway, yesterday I used my devided lunch box. It also have the special feature that can avoid my sambal from splattering all over the place when heated. Just press on the little silicon vent and the steam can be released from the container with minimum mess. I loike! Sesuai untuk para pemalas macam aku!
As you all know aku ni kan gangster. Sesiapa cari pasal dengan aku sure kena ketuk dengan high heels. FYI packing homecook lunch adalah tidak RAWK di mata golongan gangsters! ok? That leaves me no choice but to disguise my lunch boxes inside that pin stripe bag.
It is also from Tupperware. Got style eh?? One look and people would think it’s my make-up bag or something. Eh.. ada ke gangster bawak make-up bag???

Last but not least, these are Penang own yummy mango and buah salak pickles. They are mouth watering but not for lunch. They are for Farah Lee and Ani Sue. They saw me taking cookies from their office drawers at 4 and 5 and demanded refund. Damn the gangster was busted!
Ye lah…tak rawk ler gangster bawak bekal…dah tau Diyana bawak bekal sebab dia yang citer…heheheh
Akak suka tupperware…biar pun takde tupperware untuk bawak bekal cuma untuk storage…
ni yg semangat nak bawak bekal p office…and nak cari tupperware gak

hehehehe.. nasib baik bekas Tupperware saya walaupun sangat cute tetapi plain. Kalau ada Tupperware gambar cartoon Powerpuff girl ke? Princess Barbie ke? Mesti saya beli… lagi tak rawk! hahaha.. saya ada yg storage tapi untuk air je..:)

tertinggal plak komen aku yg satu ni > walaupun aku bukan pengguna tegar tupperware (sbb aku maleh masak dan menyimpan makanan), aku taw yg kualiti bende ni mmg bagus. dari zaman aku kecik lagi sekitar tahun 80an (mcm la korang tak pernah hidup tahun 80an kan. hangpa jgn cuba nak kata aku tua..kang aku sentap) tupperware dah memang well known because of its quality. tapi aku tak kisah la..sbb aku jarang masak, tapi aku suka design dia yg skrg ‘stylo’ yg tak keterlaluan. kiranya kalau aku tak gunakan tupperware sbg menyimpan makanan dan minuman, aku rela buat photoshoot menggunakan tupperware sbb cun siut. tak caya tengok la gambar tupperware dalam microwave tu lalalalalalala
