The Bus Obsession

My colleagues from the office had organized a trip for squid fishing (mencandat sotong) in Terengganu recently. As squid fishing is an activity that we have never done before, Azman and I had decided to hop along despite the euphoria from our recent holidaying in Sabah hasn’t still worn off.

So right the middle of our house renovations and M.U baby shirt madness, we packed our bags and off we went to the east cost. I hardly even been to Terengganu and I was quite excited.  Selama hari ni aku dok tunggu Nize kawin baru nak pergi Tganu, sayangnya dia tak kawin-kawin sampai Miki pun dah nak bersunat dah, aku taktau laa apa nak jadi dengan orang tua tu..*lariiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

We went by bus on Friday night. ETD 10.00pm Putrajaya and ETA 6.00am Marang. The bus ended up arriving at my office lobby at 11.30pm and I cannot remember the actually time we arrived in Marang, I think it was 7.30am.

The moment we got on the bus, Miki immediately was possessed by the spirit of the big passenger vehicle. My son had fallen head over heels; in love with…

THE BUS!

THE BUS!

THE BUS!!!!

bas persiaran

OMG Mummy! There is a bus behind me!

Miki was so happy, so excited to be riding in the bus that went to sleep at 1.30am long after all the other kids and adults had left for slumberland.  Every breath he takes every move he made it’s gotta be THE BUS!

The moment he woke up he said “Ni kita dalam bas ni!” sambil sengih-sengih.
As we got off the bus, he said, “Nanti kita naik bas lagi ehhh?” sambil bye-bye kat bas tu.
Everytime we dress him up and put on his shoes he said “Kita nak pergi naik bas eh? Kita naik bas eh! Naik bas!”

Mummy muntah keluar darah beku ketul-ketul bentuk bas express dan double-decker.

Miki dan bas chenta hatinya…

Late Saturday morning we took a boat ride to Pulau Kapas and Miki had forgotten the bus for awhile.  Azman and I had gone to Gems Island off Pulau Kapas for snorkeling. (OMG! from a hydrophobic I think I have become addicted to snorkeling already! damn! ) Where we had a good two hours plus of swimming in the crystal clear water with Nemo and Dory and pomfrets and god knows what else sea creatures until i had become very-very shiny. Like a brand new Machelin tyre.

My friends Sarah, Nora, Farah and Raha had babysat Miki and he pooped while he was in their care. Two times. Nasty poopoo. Good boy Miki! Thank you Kak Sarah! hahahaha..

in a bus

Maybe one of the reasons why he loves the bus ride so much, he was surrounded by girlss!!

Miki’s obsession with the bus was way much serious compared to the airplanes and boats. He was not this crazy the last time we got on a flight.

On Monday he woke up at 5am very bright and eager for another bus ride. My arrived from T’ganu sometime around midnight, Azman and I need to work in the morning and he woke us up to take him naik bas pada pukul 5 pagi. Kegilaan apakah itu? I bought him a bus model (couldn’t find cheaper toy bus, damn!) and he holds it and carries it everywhere but still the real bus is what he desires.

Up until today, 4 days after the last bus ride. Miki still cannot stop talking about the blasted vehicle and most annoyingly kept on asking to go on bus ride like mana Mummy nak cari bus pukul 12malam Miki, kita nak pergi mana tengah-tengah malam buta ni???? *pengsan*

The waking up at night asking for bus is slowly fading but the excitement of spotting one in the middle of the road while we were driving is still on rage. He must be getting every bus that we pass by di tengah-tengah jalan dan what Miki wants Miki must get unless Mummy spins a tale about that bus has broken down or the bus is leaving us or the bus is busuk Mummy takmau naik.

I don’t know how long this bus madness will last. Miki oh Miki…Someday when Mummy is old and  senile (touch wood) and asking you the same question a hundred times. Please don’t send me the old folks home ok? Just send me shopping. Thank you very much.

  1. I always wanted to try riding a long journey by the bus. But I am so scared that we’d be sawan by the time we reached the destination. I’m afraid that the girls anxiety get the best of them and melompat2 or menjerit2 inside the bus. Nak lari g mana. If train boleh tahan lagi. But after your entry ni, i think I’m gonna give it a try. Maybe start with a five hour journey to manchester rather than braving an 8 hour journey to london. pasti pengsan. will let you know how it went. Thanks Dee and well done my darling Miki! Such a macho!

  2. lucu sungguh..jangan dh besar jadi driver bus sudah unless jadi driver red double decker london bus..Gaji besar dr engineer..LOL 😛 And the driver are sooooooo skillful.
