Freed and terberanak

Here is a recap our exciting weekend.

On Saturday I was invited by Honda to test drive their new baby, FREED, an exciting MPV with the internationally renowned automotive blogger Paul Tan. I am gonna write a review on the car and post about it later.

Anyway I shared a Freed with other bloggers including adikku yang sedang membuat big bucks through blogging and the oh so famous Malaysia’s no 1 fashion blogger Hafiz “CuteCarry” Mustapha. These guys are really nice. I was meeting Hafiz for the first time and owhhh don’t we have so many things in common? Haha! Let’s catch up soon, diva!

Siapa lagi vogue? Aku?

Atau Hafiz?? Jawapannya Hafiz! ahhahaa

Honda had organized a few competitions like best picture taken and stuff and our group won best fuel consumption. We won a Freed model but I wasn’t there to take it because I had gone back way too soon TO BALIK KAMPUNG!

Hell yeah! The last time we went back to Penang/Kedah was in January! It had been THAT long! Goshh.. So immediately after the Honda Freed event we packed and dashed off up north. Stopped at Grik at Azman’s grandmother’s place with the intention to wallop durians, rambutans, duku, langsat, manggis etc etc but arrived too late it was already dark and rainy. Miki saw ducks and he was very jakun OMG he didn’t wanna step on ground unless it was proper tarred road!!! Like how to go to the orchard? Spoiled kid!

Miki taknak pijak tanah kat dusun… gedik!!

After visiting Miki’s Tok Moyang aka Azman’s grandmom we head home to his parent’s and like always it was soooo nice to be at home with all the delicious food and the warmth and the feeling of not having to work tomorrow. haha

Kampung is such a great get away… Miki and I played bubbles made of the sap of the jatropha leaf, played with the ice cold water in the creek, collect wild coffee beans and gathered flower seeds to plant back home in Kinrara. I was such a great day…

I love this pic so much! Look at Miki, he was so happy in his pink baju melayu. I was wearing wrong attire though! Should have worn kain batik and baju kurung kedah instead of Azman’s old tshirt and his sister’s sweat pants. hehehe

On Sunday afternoon we drove to Penang to my mom’s place and we had dinner at Kayu they have the best nasi kandar yum yum! We went to Rope Walk (Lorong Kulit) and buy more rabbits! Yayyyy!! We were looking for antiques but unfortunately by the time we got there, it was kinda late and the sellers were packing their stuff already.

Rope Walk for those who doesn’t know is an outdoor place similar to a flea market and sells an amazing collection of knick knacks from used household items to antiques and other curios goods. I love these kinda old mysterious things..

Miki checking out centuries old silver ware

Me and Miki at Rope Walkit has been years since the last time I was here

Later in the afternoon we had swimming in the sea in our agenda but unfortunately KAKAK AKU TERBERANAK PULAKKk!

Hahaha… Congratulations to my eldest sis Eyza and my bro in law Eone for the birth of their baby boy, born yesterday at 5.20pm via C sec. Baby weight 1.70kg only but both mum and lil one are doing fine! Yay! Miki is not the youngest grandchild anymore… I hope everyone will be blessed including all of you who are reading this blog!

Have a nice day!

  1. huhu dah lama tak gi rope walk….best! aku pun suka…plg best byk buah fresh2 dan murah2…..

  2. I like you looking all homely and Miki flying. Miki is so blessed to be able to go back to a Kampung, not many have the privilege now.
I remember when I first came home from England, I had 3 children already then, and when we went to Malacca and they saw some hens running around, they shouted “Ikan, ikan!!”
