Grass and Cheeky Miki

After one year of staying in Chateau Diyanazman, we are finally considering planting grass on our lawn. All these while our lawn is carpeted by a wide variety of grass-like vegetation giving the garden a lovely look and feel of a mini AMAZON!!!

Dah la sometimes our rabbits escape, and then there are this couple of squirrels roaming around munching on my daisies, not forgetting the bees and the butterflies… eh memang hutan simpan terpelihara lah kekdahnya!
But don’t get me wrong, I love the squirrels, bees and butterflies, it’s just the rumput that I cannot tahan.

Anyway, planting grass is not exactly cheap. The last time I checked with the nurseries in Sg Buloh, the price of Philippines grass (if I am not mistaken) can go up to Rm3.50 per sf. This is also considering our location in Puchong and what not. Phew!

Anyway Azman has done a preliminary calculation of the size of the grass-covered area in our garden and it’s a about 782 sf.  I thank God for the terrace and the huge patio because 782sf alone is costing us RM2737!! *pitam*

We desperately need to find other nurseries that can offer cheaper rumput la… else I would be eating grass like LITERALLY!

Miki these days can be extremely manja and spoiled. At 3 years 5 months he has moved on from potty to toilet and only wear diapers at night. In fact a couple of nights ago, we forgot to make him wear one and only realized it in the morning. Surprisingly he didn’t sheeshee at all throughout the 10 hours! Good boy!

We are also proud that since Miki is potty trained in Dec10/Jan11, until today there not a single terbabas case at all! Hooray!

He likes to speak in English now, always in complete sentences although the grammar is like OUT! And the rojakness is superb. Can’t really blame him because his parents’ English also very much OUT! But never mind la… learn slowly ok…

His favorite sentence is “I think it is the …!”

While jogging with Daddy, he was getting tired and he saw a bench under the tree. Instead of saying he wants to sit down, he said, “Daddy, I think it is the kerusi!” hhaha…

It’s funny how he includes the word “the” in every sentence like “Mummy, look it is the raining!”…  Hahaha! Very the very tak sessuai la Miki.Oppss Mummy pun cakap gitu! hahahaha

Miki is super sensitive about the usage of “Kau”, “Aku” and other negative words like “naughty” and “jahat”.  Often we as parents yang kena tarbiah balik sebab tercakap “Kau” or “Aku”.Ustaz Miki will definitely tell us ” Eiii… tak baik kata ‘kau’! Nanti Tuhan marah… Kita kan family, jangan kata ‘kau'”! Perggggh, giler punya backfire ni…

It can be quite funny when we had to change all the aku’s and kau’s in the lyrics of Bangau Oh Bangau! Do you know that song? Cuba kira berapa banyak Engkau dengan Aku yang ada… haishhh…

His Al-Fatihah recital is getting better and better. Hope to move on to other surahs soon. Mummy is so sorry for being so malas in coaching you Miki. Most of the things he learned are from TV or Youtube. Kesian…

Tomorrow I am going to Melaka. It is just a day trip but I look forward to have yummy Malaccan asam pedas for lunch. And I know unavoidably I will be missing Miki a lot too… Just like I do every day at work..

Love you Miki and Daddy Miki! To all readers, life is too short! Enjoy your every minute! 🙂
