We are meeting with our contractor this afternoon. We are going to go through and hopefully finalize all the items included in the quotation which will take me closer to my dream home.
Although I must say the house is definitely in move-in condition but I still have 1001 things to touch up and adjust according to my expensive taste and my cikapot funding.
Here are the things that I would like to be done in the kitchen and dining room alone.
1) Hack current floor and assemble new flooring tiles (dining and dry kitchen only)
2) Hack tiles on concrete kitchen cabinet and change to new ones
3) Get new deep sinks and move current sinks from corner to facing window (north)
4) Install kitchen hob and hood at dry kitchen
5) Hack current kitchen backsplash and change to new
6) Hack wall tiles and plaster the walls for paint
7) Move food pantry cabinet from south wall to east wall
8 ) Seal off back door and create new back door at wet kitchen
9) Demolish the sink at wet kitchen
10) Plaster ceiling at dining room
11) Plumbing and wiring works
12) Change window panes to new
13) Change to those sexy sleek faucets
14) Paint all wooden kitchen cabinets
No 12 to 14 are highly depending on Azman’s tolerance on my gedikness, and stretch as far as the budget allows. When we first saw the house we had some thoughts about tearing down the entire kitchen cabinets and built new ones exactly the way we like it to be. But after asking the previous owner about the cost she spent on what we have now, the thoughts of total kitchen make-over was folded neatly into a tiny piece of origami duck and let sail away down the monsoon drain.
Our existing cabinets of solid nyatuh wood had cost RM17,000. In 1992!! Even though I believe the number included building extensions but… kalau aku gatal-gatal robohkan dan buat baru? Harga 2010? Agak-agak berapa?
Takpe lah nyah… mak pasrah… we are gonna have to make do. Kayu pun kayu lahhh… ingat nak yang kilat-kilat tu….huhu

This entry is totally outdated. In fact I have forgotten to write anything about Miki’s first trip to Zoo Negara in 27 February 2010 until today. I have a reason to that, and it is sad one.
Anyway, it was Miki’s third time going to the zoo, the first two times was to Zoo Melaka. Each time we went, Azman and I would marvel on how much Miki has grown and grew smarter than the last time he saw the animals. On the entire afternoon of 27 Feb; we took so many photos but none with Miki looking at the camera. He was either staring at that animal or this animal or that hot chick or this hot hoochie mama. Eh! Itu Miki ke Azman? Ke aku? Ehhhh
Anyway, Miki was a bit nervous being too close to Mr Elephant. We bought RM3 worth of bananas from the zoo authority to feed the friendly big guys.

Feeding a deer
This bear was very amusing. He was given a young coconut and he was really happy. He eagerly used his claws to peel off the husks and check out his pose while drinking the water. In order to sit up straight, he needs to hold on to one feet and keep his balance.
Tiger roarrr!!
Uncle Nize Orang utan strikes a pose
The animal show was great. But Miki couldn’t sit still and watch the show. He was hungry and wanted to play with a white tourist girl about his age with hair exactly curly-murly like his. The parents of the girl was also fed-up with their hyper little girl and left the show half way. Tsk tsk
Front entrance. Still not looking at the camera.
The three of us.Yeayyy!
Zoo Negara opens daily from 9am to 5pm only. Entrance fee is RM20 for adults and RM6 for kids. The zoo is kids friendly, shady and cool too. The animal show is held daily at 11am and 3pm.
The thing that reminds me of our trip to zoo is Arwah Din Beramboi. The famous comedian who was born Mior Ahmad Fuad Mior Badri, 43 years old has gone today to meet his Creator. Was died of dengue fever. I remember while we were walking down the mammals zone at the zoo, we walked pass him while he was about to start shooting for a show. He was wearing the outfit similar to what late Steve Irwin was wearing so I guess he was hosting some animal show.
I said “Hi Pakcik Din!” and he looked at us smiling and replied “Hi!”
I told Azman later that we should have taken a picture with him but I didn’t because he was in a middle of shooting a show. I like Din Beramboi a lot! He was really funny and despite all the crazy jokes I know he was an intelligent, nice man. And now he has gone. Al Fatihah. May he rest in peace.
