Raya Final Entry – Robot Pinata for Rafa’s 3rd Birthday Party

We had Majlis Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Rafa’s Birthday Party on 2nd August 2015, here are more photos and stories:

Okay, nak cerita pasal deco-deco ni. As you all know aku kan sangat kayu when it comes to crafting. But I am not gungho enough to actually hire a planner to decorate my house and all.  So I figured why not just DIY something asalkan jadi gitu.

And in the end, I was still  very pleased when I managed to put together the “RAFA IS 3” sign on sparkling paper. Hang it over my existing colorful painting on the wall, and added some colorful decorative paper fans around it.

To you all kalau nak buat party kan…Those paper fans tu korang takyah la gigih-gigih lipat kertas bagai.Sebab ada siap jual kat kedai. beli dan gantung aje. Dalam pada senang tu pun masih fail tengah-tengah party terbukak yang merah putih tu LOL…

Atas kat lampu tu I wanted to hang like a dozen balloons tapi tak sempat. Pukul 2 guests dah sampai.. aahahah uhuhuhuhu…

Haish, tengok muka Miki dalam photos ni mmg kesian giler. nasib baik sakit tak teruk..

Rafa’s cake is shaped like a Robot! His current favorite thing after T REX. The Robot’s eyes are made of Oreos and its arms and legs are from whoopie pies. Since Rafa loves blowing candles, I bought the HAPPY BIRTHDAY candles so he got 13 candles to blow without having to be 13. Hehe….

 

 

Goodie pack for the children was very simple. Some candy in a paper bag and a watch. I printed that cute green robot cover to customized it to Rafa’s party.

Since it was also my nephew, Naufal’s birthday, after Rafa cut his cake, it was Naufal’s turn. His favorite cartoon character is  Ultraman and he too was very pleased with cake and started making Ultraman poses! LOL

Kids are so cute and funny…

Check out this full 3D ROBOT PINATA made exclusively by Azman and I! Cun tak? I must say that after making several pinatas, we are getting really good at it. We spent 2 days only making this and bulk of the time was on drying the paper mache.

I saw a lame rounded pinata at a party supply shop in Paradigm Mall, and one costs RM300! WTH! Seriously peeps, if you want one of these for your own party, let me know.

Once we took out the pinata, the bigger kids (that know what it is) got really excited so in order to avoid getting accidentally hit with the stick, I got the kids to line up.

Since it is his birthday, Rafa gets to hit it first! Yay!

Making pinata is really hard. If you make it too soft, it will break really soon and not all the kids get the experience to hit it. If it is too hard, tak pecah-pecah la pulak. hehehe…

 

In this case, my cousin, Kak Min’s handsome son Hud who is 11, gave a hard blow and the Robot’s head snapped! Haha! But since the candy didn’t go flying….

I had to throw it in the air….

This the the birthday boy, Rafa. Syian dia… All the bigger kids grabbed as much candies as they could and they sure got a lot. But Rafa got only 2, one Mentos and and one gold coin chocolate but he was so happy, I wanna cry… ahahaha

After the pinata activity, my nephew Arash and niece Sarah organized their own musical chair games. Bagus lah budak-budak ni…  Arash made his own goodies packs to give away to the winners. Since I don’t have a radio, Sarah used her own tab to play the music. 

This is the part when Umar Dhani lari bawak kerusi when the music stopped. Lawak tul… Hahaha!  Arjun pulak nangis sebab tak menang. My nephew Haqeem pun sama. His mom told him, “Haqeem tak payah main lah.. nanti kalah menangis..”   His reply was “Takpe, kalau kita kalah, memang kena nangis, nanti terus menang! ” Hahahhaha, menangis adalah tactic okkk…

After all the games. The kids continue to play. Sarah and Nia became instant friends…
