Metallica Baby review Death Magnetic album

I didn’t write any post for this blog for such a long time. Bani aka Jalan jalan Cari Pasal complaint about it a couple of times and threatened to boycott this blog if I didn’t write. So, I decide to write about my favorite band.

If you ask me about my favorite band, I will say Metallica. But the truth is, Helloween used to be the band that I liked most and the first album that I have ever bought was Helloween – “The Best, The Rest, The Rare” in 1991. The album contained all Helloween best songs such as Future World, Dr. Stein, I want out, etc.

During my school years, it’s hard to find any Metallica fan. The one that I can remember is Khairul and we called him Kirk. We always tease him with Hetfield’s way of talking because most of heavy metal fan support Helloween while the majority chose rap and pop artists such as Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, 4U2U, NKOTB etc.

However, when Metallica released their most successful album – Black, Helloween lost their most influential vocalist & guitarist, Kai Hansen. To make it even worst, the vocalist, Micheal Kiske also left Helloween in 1993 and spell the end of Helloween. This was a changing point for me and with the influence of Metallica die hard fan, Mat Metal…. I changed my allegiance to Metallica.

As far as I know, Mat Metal has almost all hard cover books about Metallica that include their biography, history, tablature & riffs. He is a true Metallica’s fan. So, when Metallica released their latest album “Death Magnetic” in September 2008, he was the first person that I would like to seek for comment.

Shockingly, he has none. He was still frustrated with “St. Anger” album and boycott Metallica since that. Since I don’t have someone else to get comments, I just played their latest CD in my car CD player and ask Miki for his comment. This is what I got…

Yeah! I think Metallica – Death Magnetic is not bad at all. It makes Metallica sound like Metallica again. The album is Miki APPROVED!

sakit perut aku gelak tgk gambar miki ngan wig tu..

  3. Death Magnetic sounded like the old Metallica because of the long intro. Salah satu ciri lagu Metallica. They didn’t do that in St. Anger kan? Intro pendek.

But yeah, I love Metallica. Salahkan abangku yang sulung itu!

  4. Saya jua ingin mengambik kesempatan ini untuk memberikan kata2 aluan kepada incik azman yg sangat lama giler tak update blog ni… setahun ada kot… lama gilerrr..

  8. Gua dari darjah 3 4 dah layan Metallica, sebab abang sulung masa tu umur 19, 20 (dia la yg gila sgt dgn Metallica, saya pun terbabit skali tak pasal2)? So yeah..

Ada pulak saya pakai tudung ekin! haha tak sesuai sungguh.

  9. So, back in the ’80s, when Metallica was relevant… They handed out tapes, told people to give copies to their friends, actively pushed these albums. They were about anti-establishment and the music. Then they suddenly got popular… made tons of cash…
