Toddler Developments Update – Diet and Speech

Here are some short updates on Luth Mikael aka Miki. To date he is 1 year and 3 months old.
Diet – Highy depending on his mood. When he feels like eating, he will eat more and drink less milk. Favourites include Famous Amos’ No Nut Choc Chip Cookies, Cucumber slices, French Fries, Mash Potatoes, Bananas, biscuits and Appeton Multivits with Lysine. The Appeton has been introduced to him a few weeks ago to encourage the most natural, most basic human instinct that was lacking in my son- EATING.
Result – positive, increased appetite towards eating THE VITAMIN TABLETS only.
Drinks Friso 3 formula up to 8 tins per month. That is RM42 x 8 = RM336.00 per month. OMG! Can get a decent handbag already! OMG I am turning into a bagwhore *slap own face! Punch own gut!
Self-weaned from breastfeeding at 13/14 months. Now thinks that the breast is a hilarious joke. *podahhh On Saturdays Miki is allowed some ice-cream if Mummy feels like he can be allowed ice-cream. Loves Vitagen, will drink quarter of the bottle and use the rest for bathing. Loves broccoli. Loves extremely sour young mangoes. Loves anything Mummy and Daddy eats. Lazy to chew. Will keep coarsely chop food in mouth like hamster. Have tasted a wide variety of food including air lecah lepas hujan, batu kerikil and tanah dalam pasu bunga.
Speech development – From age 9 months until today, here is the vocabulary that Miki has built up and Mummy can remember :-
Cat Daddy Buah Tutup Buka Bye-Bye Duck Cak Dah Ball Lampu Stop Fish Sedap Nah Nak Tak-nak Tak-Sedap Pokok Flower Baca Allah(swt) Opah Mama Shanaz Diyana Kakak Kepeh Nize Sarah Mamak Lampu Berak NyomNyom Minum Ketat Bunga Bug Zebra Bedak Nenen Bebird Getah Tata! Muah Nak-Air! Baby Bear Bulan Sikat Beg Pooh Pecah Kasut Ubat Takde Banana Butterfly Cicak Hello No Duduk Jatuh Patah Pandai Umbrella Mop Air Basah Kasut Shake Baju Gosok Good Apa? Apa-Ni? Apa-tu? Buat-apa?
Some words he says out loud with very clear pronunciation, some very pelat only Mummy and Daddy can understand. Some he says them all the time, others very occasionally. Can make the sounds of cat, bird, cow, dog, cicak and MAMAK! *pengsan Ask him to panggil Mamak and he will make the shrieking sound with his lips that we do to call the waiter or mat rempit mengorat awek. *pengsan lagi.
Knows the letter A, B and O. Arabic alphabets very bertabur.
Calls Daddy –Dahdeyy. Calls Mummy – Diyana. *pengsan berkali-kali. Knows Mummy is Mummy but aint calling her that lets call her Diyana or Na or Nana or NANANA!!! Very loud and forever talking. Only shut up when sleeps. Or in front of strangers. Talks to Cat the kucing busuk and sings while holding to microphone. *pengsan tak bangun-bangun.
Sings “titititeh tar!” for Twinkle Little Star! Starts asking questions – Apa? Apa ni? at 13 months. His first 3-words-sentence “Ma,nah buh (ball)!” said also at 13 months.

So much to write about our lil protégée. Later lah! Mummy sayang Miki… Muahhhhhh!!

diyana, be careful about him calling you by the name, i remember my late grandma told me she used to call her mom kakak, sebab dengar jiran2 sebut kakak. last2 melekat sampai tua tau. anyway, gambar 1st tu, miki look sejibik like you. sejuk la tu.

Ida, Ubai pun gitu ye? hahaha… mmg tahpape la diorg ni… Miki kalau offer dia bfeed akan gelak2 ala-ala “are you kidding me?” pastu cam geli2… dia tak ingat masa dia kicik2 dulu itulah makanan dia sampai besar panjang gini.. heheheh

eintanz, i sangat stress tau! Miki boleh sebut Opah, Sarah, Nize (bani jgn jeles) dan mcm2 nama lagi dengan jelas!! Sebut daddy pelat sikit. Tapi Mummy mmg HE REFUSES to pronounce!! Kadang2 keluar la Mama…

Miki drinks 8 tins of milk a month????? That’s very good though in mommy’s case, she had to forgo her beloved handbag….hehehehe.

emma, itulah… kalau ikutkan mmg semua benda nak direcordkan tapi tak ingat la pulak…
mamak2 kat Restoran Jamal kat Sek14, PJ tu suka giler Miki sebab pandai buat action panggil diorng, semalam kat Kenny Rogers pun dia buat jugak sambil angkat tangan and look around.. haha kelakor giler!
