Another day in Los Angeles, baby! We woke up fresh and excited! Today we planned to spend a whole day in UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD! Woot! Woot!
From our hotel, we walked for 10 minutes to the nearest METRO station called WESTERN HOLLYWOOD STATION. We were to get off at UNIVERSAL CITY STATION and meet Deccee and her husband, Angel there. Once we were in the train, my little boys buat macam rumah sendiri already. Diorang ni bukan peduli ini train ke hotel ke apa… semua tempat seem to be a magical land of adventure, maka terpekik-pekik lah aku dalam METRO itu bak halilintar di dalam terowong subway. Mesti Mat Salleh -Mat Salleh dan Mat Spanish-Mat Spanish dalam train tu pelik bahasa apa aku cakap. Sebenarnya aku cakap bahasa Melayu dengan slanga Ibuyangstress.
True enough, I heard Deccee called out my name! Apparently Angel and her was in the same train as well but if wasn’t for my pekik-pekik manja, she wouldn’t have noticed us. LOL!
In METRO!
To go to Universal Studios Hollywood, we got off at Universal City station, then walked a little bit to the Universal Studios shuttle station. Below are us with Deccee in the shuttle bus. I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to Deccee and Angel for being really nice to us. They really dont have to but both of them spent entire day with us in the themepark. Initially, Deccee offered us to get some discount on the entrance tickets by using her annual pass, but later on they came on board and join us in the park as well. We would not have been able to enjoy ourselves as much as we did if both of them hadn’t help to babysit Rafa. TERIMA KASIH DECCEE AND ANGEL! We owe you one!
Above : Miki and I at the ticket counter. When we were in Universal Studios Singapore (USS) last Dec, one thing that we learnt was to get the front in line passes if we wanted to go on all rides. Because the crowd was massive and we were not big on q-ing. I was afraid I suddenly produce a Swiss Army out of thin air and painfully murder the people in line in front of me out of my frustration sebab beratur lama sangat.
So Okay, we invested on Front in Line Passes for Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) as well. We got USD$12 discount each thanks to Deccee. But the passes alone were USD139 each. Kali tiga orang. Kali Ringgit Malaysia. Koyakkk………
Hahahaha! But we don’t come here all the time right? So why not… weeee! *lap peluh*
Weee……! Oh no! Rafa terlepas stroller… Weeee……

Us in front of the Transformer ride. Miki rode on this TWICE. First time with us and then with Decce and Angel. When he came out from the ride with them, he was wearing that new hat! Amboiii… pow Aunty Deccee nampak! LOL!
Rafa running away from us… He really enjoyed himself in open spaces. Here he was running towards the escalator. Rafa is too short to go on most rides, but it is okay… Rafa naik escalator pun happy dah… Esok besar ko boleh citer la Rafa, I dulu naik escalator kat Hollywood wooo! hahahahah! Miki on the other hand is already 4 feet tall. He could go on all the rides which he couldn’t in USS last Dec. My kid had grown a couple of inches in 5 months it seems.

Checking out the Hollywood scene. Down there was where many movie making studios were situated like Warner Bros etc. Pretty cool…
with new age tap dancers yang sangat awesome… when they were perfoming, Miki was asleep (darn jet lag! ) and he missed the show. While he was sleeping we saw and took pics with Spongebob, Woody Woodpecker and his girlfriend, this super tall Cop, Scooby Doo etc etc When he woke up and and found out he didn’t get to meet Spongebob he was so upset. LOL
But actually Spongebob was dancing with a band near by. When Miki came close, Spongebob pulled him to ask him to dance with him. He did! Miki was so happyyyyy….. Miki danced with Spongebob!
Nampak makcik yang pakai singlet merah tu (nak mengumpat kena cakap Melayu nanti dia paham LOL), I don’t know what she has been smoking. LOL!

That’s Gru! Even Rafa recognized him! Tergedik-gedik Rafa bila nampak Gru hahaa. The baby remembered him…LOL
These pictures were taken at Super Silly Fun Land which was the interpretation of the seaside carnival in the movie “Despicable Me”. We rode on the Minion Mayhem ride and it was very nice! I loved it! There was also the “Super Silly Space Killer” arcade game, where Agnes “won” her lovable stuffed unicorn (“It’s so fluffy I want to dieee!”). Miki played that too but kalah tak dapat unicorn habis duit 5 dollar. LOL
Below – four of us in front of Krustyland or The Simpsons Ride. This ride is only available at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida. Macam Minion Ride, ini pun kat Singapore takde. Before the ride starts, character of the “bad guy” in the animation warned us not to use our cameras or he will chop our hands off.
Miki took it too literally, he was so freaked out and when we asked why he was quiet, Miki said “Miki takut nanti dia potong tangan Mummy Daddy….” Ala anakku…. often I forget that you are just 6! Mummy Daddy loves you and Rafa so much! We will travel to the moon and back for you and we will bring you with us!
Many people asked me why did we have to bring two young kids with us on a vacation across the world when we could very much enjoy ourselves without having to travel with them, not to mention lesser cost but seriously…
Both Azman and I can’t define happiness if the two kids weren’t there to share it with us. Especially we when go to places that we have never been. If Miki and Rafa has been to US before than OK lah we come here without them…But till then, if we can’t afford to go all four then we don’t go at all. Be it Singapore, or America, or Langkawi. Until the chikadees are big enough to leave the nest, Diyanazman family sticks together!

I’ve been checking out the blog.. Tapi tak da post lama. Then hari ni tgk.. Adoih banyak pulak story US that I missed. Harus membaca semuanya. Keep posting. I so feel about traveling without anak. I did once.. And really felt lost. Cukup lah sekali… Can’t ever do it again… For now.
Yanti, i rasa kalau tempat tu sgt best and kids havent been there. I have to bring the kids la kalau tak mcm kejam dan selfish sgt. Tapi kalau mereka dah pernah pergi, may be boleh tinggalkan kot… Ntahla tak pernah lalui situasi cantu lg 😉
