Best Places to Visit in Los Angeles, California – The Hollywood Sign – USA Vacation Day 4

4th day in our USA vacation! Woohoo! We were still in LA! And it was the second day for Daddy Azman to drive around. By this time he was already a pro lah! No one honk us already! Haha! Today we had a long list of places to go, we were gonna make a full use of the day to visit:

a) The Hollywood Sign
b) Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
c) Exposition Park Rose Garden of Los Angeles
d) Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, Walk of Fame

 

 

Being one of the greatest cities in the world, Los Angeles offers dozens of places to visits, all mesmerising and unique so we were quite undecided.  After all LA is the entertainment capital of the world, yeah? They say, if you want to party best head for Downtown LA, but we were there on a family vacation and memang we don’t party pun lah! Haha!

So we head for our first location after breakfast – the Hollywood Sign. I think this place is legend lah! One of the coolest place to visit I must say. We have seen it all our lives on TV so now we were finally there! yay!

The Hollywood Sign can be seen from several spots in LA like Mulholland Drive, Griffith Park Observatory, Hollywood & Highland Center etc. But we went to the best location called Canyon Lake Drive, Hollywood. If you guys want to go there, the address is 3000 Canyon Lake Dr Los Angeles, CA 90068, USA.

Azman researched for the location and he said there is the best. I saw Neelofa took a picture there so I thought I have to go there too! Hahaha! As easy as that… In fact, I did a photo parody of Neelofa’s picture at Hollywood Sign but it was in my phone and the phone is lost. *sad*

When we got there, Rafa was fast asleep. We had snacks and drinks and enjoyed the Californian sun. It was really nice. Still Rafa tak bangun-bangun. Haishhh…

So we took pictures of just the three of us…

Hollywood di ketiakku! LOL LOL  My cool kid Miki, doing his thang on the fence… Enjoying every minute in the sun…

I don’t know why I did my face like that… Darn it LOL

Haha! Muka tahan matahari… the sun was really bright but the air was cool… So we didn’t mind lazing under the sun, without realizing that we were turning really brown…

On the left side of where we took this pic, downhill was a lovely little park. I wanted to hang out there for awhile but there were many dogs (with their owners). I takut you see… Takut anjing di kejar Rafa! Ye! Bukan Rafa dikejar anjing, tapi anjing dikejar Rafa! Haishhh… Nasib baik dia tidor…

Opposite of the place where we took that pic, you can see a lovely view of a lake and maybe a dam… I guess this must be Canyon Lake. It was gorgeous.

And hey!!! Rafa woke up!! Finally!

My babies playing with sand… Oh btw, USA is their 9th country to visit. Pretty cool eh? Except Rafa won’t have any memory at all…LOL

UPDATED – Initially I wanted to hike up the hill to where the sign is. But unfortunately it is illegal to do so since about 20 years ago. The authorities were taking precautions against vandalism and apparently there had been many cases suicide there. Erkkk… And they say it was also risky for hikers, there were threats of unstable sandy grounds and mountain lion attack! MOUNTAIN LION??? Ok tak payah la nak glamour sangat orang Melayu pergi Hollywood kena attack singa mat salleh… LOL

So we have been there, a legendary place so beautiful.. I don’t mind going again, even if Rafa doesn’t complain about not remembering one single thing! Mummy loves you MikiRafa! 🙂
