Hello peeps, my blog readers, internet addict, you guys who stumbled upon this website when searching for seriously ridiculous keywords like “what does baby poop smell like?” or “cheapest Thai silk in the world“…. I am wishing you all a great Happy Friday!

Azman and I are on leave today we are going to stay over night at Trader’s KL to celebrate his belated birthday. My husband turned 37 last Tuesday, I took him to eat at Giant Kinrara Foodcourt. Romantic kan??? Hehe.. Happy Birthday to my husband, Daddy to my kids and my best pal in the world, may you always stay healthy, dirahmati and gembira sekali! Yeah! insya Allah..

Anyway today I am publishing loads of pics taken at Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, which was heaven on earth for Miki. After we left Canyon Lake Drive where we picnic with the view of the HOLLYWOOD SIGN, we went for a drive to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

Miki understood where we were going so he was so excited, his mulut was so bising! Rafa practically had just woken up from his long morning nap so his batteries were  fully charged and his annoyance level was at the maximum.  But seriously, when Rafa was happy and energetic he was the cutest thing. Sometimes I itched to color him yellow because he was oh so much like Dave. You know Dave. The minion.

I love you Rafa.

Before we went to see the exhibits we had lunch at the cafeteria. We had a couple of bowls of mac and cheese, a couple of bananas and this huge cinnamon roll. The kids had chocolate milk and we had iced lemon tea. Tak sedap. Mat salleh tak suka bubuh gula dalam air mereka. Tapi mereka tetap gemuk aku tengok.. opps hehe

Nampak Miki buat muka boring tu?? Dia tak nak makan sebab nak tengok dinosaur. Aku sabar je sebab tak pasti kat America ni kalau aku karate budak 14 kali kena masuk penjara tak macam kat Sweden.

Once we entered the museum, Miki dan Rafa terus di rasuk hantu dinosaur. There was a museum staff, maybe the visitor care officer, laughed at them, looked at me, smiled and said “Good luck!”. Oh yeah, keaktifan anak-anakku adalah mengagumkan hingga ke peringkat antarabangsa! Syabas!

Rafa was running from one exhibit to another. Shrieking excitedly at every fossil especially skulls with sharp teeth.

Behind my three boys was my favourite exhibit. They were actually three different head of the pentaceratop or triceratop.. They were huge! The way they were displayed made them even more magnificent. Seriously! This was impressive!

Muzium Negara memang tangkap nangis la tengok Museum lain ni semua…

Rafa with an Edmontosaurus. Rafa doesn’t know the species and all but he knew they were “daishoree” for dinosaur. Cute! We went to the Natural History Museum of Berlin last year but I think they can’t beat this museum.  The Hall of Dinosaur exhibition features over 300 fossils and 20 complete mounts of dinosaurs and sea creatures! Serious memang banyak giler dinosaur dia, although I was really tired chasing after the kids, but I was glad they got to learn so much especially Miki.

He talked about the mammoth below for hours!

This museum was so rich in exhibits even I was mesmerized and impressed. There were real  fossil of prehistoric animals from the sloth family was as big a hippo! I never new they exist… But when I think about it again, that’s actually Sid from Ice Age! LOL..

Other exhibits in the museum were the African Safari which was very beautifully and realistically arranged.

We saw gold nuggets and gemstones at the Hall of Gems and Minerals. Miki loved it so much there as he was pretty much obsessed with minerals, he asked me to buy some exhibits bawak balik “for my collection”katanya. Dia ingat mak dia billionaire kot nak ada collection benda-benda rare dalam museum camtu. Dah la gemstones… hai la Miki..

Exhibit that I was interested in the most and learned from the most was Becoming Los Angeles Hall. I have always loved history so I could really stayed in this hall for hours if I could.

In below picture, the three of us was standing on the wooden desk with tools that Walt Disney first used to animate Mickey Mouse! Such a treat for Walt Disney fan like me LOL. The desk was actually the original animation stand and chair built by Walt in 1923 from an old packing crate. A second hand Pathe camera was mounted above and two handwritten notes from Walt are tacked to the stand. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!

I am really glad that Miki had grown to appreciate museums, collections, science and stories behind  everything he could see today. If you find museums boring Miki, you aren’t cultured enough! Travelling is the best way to enrich oneself Miki,I am glad to see you learned a thing or two at every place we went to. 🙂

Next I will write about the beautiful rose garden that reminds me so much of Alice in Wonderland. Come back soon guys!
