Rafa’s Second Birthday Party by the Beach

Happy belated birthday Rafa!! The youngest in the family, the most manja, the most kecik, the most comel, the most ngada-ngada and the one with the sweetest smile!

Rafa turned two years old on 29 June 2014 but that date fell on the first day of Ramadhan. So no elaborate party like we did last year. Read about it HERE.

So what we did was went to a Ramadhan Buffet so that Rafa can eat a little bit of many kinds of food, just the way he likes it. We went to Holliday Villa in Subang with our friend Bani. It was very nice and Rafa got many presents from us and Bani too. Thanks Uncle B!

But still there were no party and since we did one for Miki when he was two, it would not be fair for Rafa, if he didn’t have one. So I thought let’s put something together during raya with the family.

And so we did…. It was so much fun!

All my brother and sisters were there except Lia, because she had already gone to her in laws’ place for Raya. It was by the way, 7th day of Syawal.

All the kids had so much fun except Ibrahim. Hahahhaa… he was terrified! Poor little baby, it was his first time at the beach… Ibrahim is just 7 months and look how he placed one foot on top another cause he really hated the sand. heheheheh!

Although the party was really last minute, Azman and I managed to make a pinata, bought some balloons and other accessories for the kids. It was Miki who really wanted the pinata, so we just buatlah something reallly easy. What was supposed to be a minion looked like he has blood relation with Plankton from Bikini Bottom but it’s OK… the kids loved it! Even Arash who is already 12.

I felt very satisfied looking at how happy they were…

Me, Rafa and Miki. Miki was a bit moody at this moment because he wanted to jump into the water already… Haishhh… Miki.. Miki…

So we let them played in the water for a while and then come back up onto the shore again for pinata! yay! Rafa’s the birthday boy so he got the privilege of the first hit! Yay!

Yah! Yah! Yah! He screamed. hahahaha… He ketuked with full action but actually ketuk lalat also tak mati…

For bigger kids, they had to wear a blindfold….. Naufal was not is a good mood coz he cut his finger the day before and it still hurt… kecian Naufal…

Below is Arash….. We put on the blindfold on him and turn him round and round 20 times until he is dizzy… hehehe

After the first round, the pinata is still intact! Oh no! the kids are getting impatient…

So we changed the style, now everybody must jump when they hit our Minion-Plankton hybrid. LOL

 

And finally it broke! Yay!! Berebut time!

 

We had pizza, noodles, chips, peanuts and drinks. Oh and of course the entire secret recipe cake. There were too much food. We had some and brought back home a lot more.

And kids played and played and played….

Rafa played with sand until he forgot to eat or drink. I bought two sets on those sand castle building tools so other kids that came to the beach played with them as well.

Then Azman did his beach routine with Rafa – BURY THE BABY! It is fun to watch cause Rafa doesn’t seem to mind having those wet heavy sand piled on top of his body. Until a few minutes when breathing became tiring I guess, that he started to squirm out of the sand. hehe…

 

 

 

 

At the end of the day, I just want to express how much I am thankful for my family…
We all should. Parents, siblings, husband, wife, kids….they are the real treasures in our lives. No matters what comes do not risk  hurting these people, because they are  ones that have been supporting you, nurturing you until you become what you are today. Have to always remember that…
