Miki & Rafa Euro Road Trip – Beautiful Tourist Attractions in Berlin

Brandenburg Gate in Berlin Germany

One day, I will have to go back to Berlin again. We stayed for 2 days and 1 night in the capital city of Germany last spring and that is just not enough. It is such a nice beautiful city with endless tourism spots including historic places ( I love history!) and all the people we met were nice.

Some weekends, Azman asks me what are we going to do today, and many a times I’d carelessly answer let’s go lepak at that cafe near Checkpoint Charlie… Then I will get a “Pala wotak ko!” as an answer. Hehehehe

Me and my handsome 5 year old, Miki. In our hotel room in Berlin before breakfast. We stayed at City Hotel Ansbach. Our room is very nice and spacious. In fact, the accommodations during our entire 2 weeks European trip was planned meticulously by Abdullah, my bil and thank you very much Pak Dollah, we had beyond comfort at very good hotels throughout.

Berlin was very cold at that time..It makes my face extremely pale but God knows how malas I was about wearing makeup. Now, when I look at below picture, I realize the Berlin bear looks more radiant than me. LOL…

This bear statue is scattered all over town with different designs on them. In the car while we drove around, Miki and I played spot the bear! Sweet memories with my boy, Miki… He sat in his car seat and eating snacks, listening to his MP3 player like a teenager and asking endless questions to Abdullah. Rafa on the other hand was 10 months old and… poops and farts in the moving car. LOL!

This  is us on our way to Berlin city center. Car seat for Miki is compulsory. And Rafa is sleeping again.. We saw many gorgeous buildings such as the Berlin Victory Column but it was raining so we didn’t stop. We stopped at Berlin Cathedral Church. We have too many picture to upload here but if you close up and see the detail of this church it is breathtaking!

The tall tower that reminds me of KL Tower is actually Berlin’s TV transmitter called Fernsehturm Berlin. And then we stopped at The Brandenburg Gate. It is a former city gate, rebuilt in the late 18th century as a neoclassical triumphal arch, and now one of the most well-known landmarks of Germany.

~Miki enjoyed himself very much here, chasing after and feeding birds with butter cookies. Daddy beli mahal biskut tu dalam Euro ko bagi kat burung je… Bertabur satu bag plak tu.. Takpe lah Miki, asalkan bahagia! LOL!

Over here, there are a lot of people dressed up in costumes offering tourists to take picture with them with a fee. When we were there, these 2 guys, I dressed as Russian army and another in US army made our pictures a bit more memorial.

I think I am going to try this in KL. Let’s dress up in classic Malay costume and any tourist who wants to take a pic with us must pay RM10. Kita station depan KLCC punya pool tu… Bangla and Indon takleh eh… Negara lain boleh hahaha.

Anyway it was still raining a little bit and sejuk around 10 degrees.

We also went to the Reichstag building, which is the Parliament building of Germany. It is huge and there were many tourists around. When my Mom and sister went to Germany, they also came here.

In my next entry, I will write about shopping at Galeries Lafayette Berlin… I am determined to jot down our travel stories in this blog before we embark on our next holiday! weee~~
